I BEAT PARKINSON'S TODAY by Steve R
In spite of this Parkinson's disease,
I thoroughly enjoyed this day,
I magically became more at ease,
And I beat Parkinson’s today.
I asked an old friend to lunch,
We talked and laughed for hours.
I really stole its punch--
I had A hunch-- I zapped its powers.
I could not sleep so online I went
Just in time to be greeted by a friend.
Told him I beat Parkinson's today.
He said man ain't no way.
I destroyed its mean punch,
I laughed at all his funny jokes.
I followed that same hunch,
And I beat it again folks.
I tripped over my big clumsy feet.
All of a sudden fell in a heap.
I did not want anyone to see,
So I jumped up without a peep.
As I looked out through a crack in the shade,
I finally found the hummingbird's nest.
I mentally destroyed PD's power,
As I lay watching them for an hour.
I started a new PD medicine.
I am fed up with this constant shaving,
I scoff at it--its powerfully intense,
I beat it again and satisfied my craving.
I now have a covering for my masked face.
I am so very elated and excited.
Since I left Parkinson's in outer space,
And I won and I am truly delighted.
